Fossil gas subsidies have been around zero.2% of GDP for the primary 20 years of the twenty first century, and are higher than clear vitality subsidies. All state and personal universities are underneath the control of the Higher Education Board (YÖK), whose head is appointed by the President of Turkey; and since 2016 the President immediately appoints all rectors of all state and private universities.
